Clastres ist zu einer festen Bank im kontinentalen Dragracing geworden. Drei Rennen werden jedes Jahr veranstaltet, für 2022 ist dies das Zweite. Ende Juli folgt das Dritte. Eine gut präparierte Strecke mit gutem Rennablauf erwartet den geneigten Fahrer und Fan.
In den Klassen Super Pro ET, Pro ET, Super Gas, Junior Dragster, wird um Punkte für die DMV Dragster Meisterschaft und in beiden ersteren Klassen noch um Punkte für die DRU Challenges gefahren. Leider hatten die Junioren kein gutes Wochenende.
Die Zeitnahme verweigerte die Messung auf der Achtelmeile, welche für die Junioren von absoluter Relevanz ist. Sie entscheidet wer gewonnen hat. Von daher fuhren die Teilnehmer*innen im Qualifikationsmodus nur auf Reaktionszeit, ohne Eliminations. Eleanor Petzold und Lucas Potthoff hielten die Deutschen Fahnen hoch.
Die Klasse Super Comp hatte leider keine Nennungen und wurde gestrichen. In Super Gas, Index 9.90 Sekunden kamen vier Teilnehmer*innen an die Ampel. Marianne Wisotzke vom GHR Team konnte kampflos gewinnen. Nach der Quali waren Silvie Lavande und Laurent Ortega in ihren Turbo Käfern kampfunfähig. Udo Becker, mit seinem Käfer trat in den Rennläufen nicht an. Gratulation an Marianne zum Sieg.
Pro ET, 30 Teilnehmer*innen gehen auf die Reise. Aus deutscher Sicht qualifizieren sich Gerd Habermann im Doppelsitzer Dragster auf Position drei, Dirk Kunold im Käfer auf fünf und Janine Petzold im Mercedes vom Team Schumann Motorsport auf Rang neun am besten. Im Rennen schied Gerd Habermann in Runde eins aus. Janine Petzold, Clarissa Czekalla, Dirk Sommer und Dirk Kunold taten es ihm in Runde zwei gleich. Armin Widmann im schneeweißen Camaro musste die Kohlen aus dem Feuer holen. Erst im Halbfinale musste er sich dem späteren Sieger Jean Luc Arnaud geschlagen geben. Armin Widmann fuhr in Rivanazzano ebenfalls bis ins Halbfinale vor. Da stehen bereits einige Punkte auf dem Konto der diversen Championate.
Super Pro ET, die schnellste Klasse in Clastres. 27 Pilot*innen nahmen die Piste unter ihre Slicks. Wie in Rivanazzano gewinnt der Rookie aus Spanien, Angel Romero. Sein Camaro lässt alle anderen stehen. Im Finale dann den Big Block Hot Rod von Christian Zulauf aus der Schweiz. Robin Sattler von der HARA war mit seinem Dragster (erster Einsatz seit drei Jahren) bis ins Viertelfinale vorgefahren, so wie Alain Dürr im Kompressor getriebenen Alfa Romeo. Für alle anderen (aus deutscher Sicht) war spätestens in Runde zwei Finito.
Wenn der Lapsus mit der 1/8 Meile Zeitnahme nicht wäre, wäre es ein perfektes Wochenende gewesen. Gutes Wetter, spannende Läufe, angenehme Gespräche. Was will man mehr? Eben, in vier Wochen, Ende Juli noch einmal nach Frankreich fahren, um beim #19 in Clastres dabei zu sein. Wir werden Berichten.

Clastres has become a fixture in continental drag racing. Three races are held each year, this being the second for 2022. The third will follow at the end of July. A well-prepared track with a good race course awaits the willing driver and fan.
In the classes Super Pro ET, Pro ET, Super Gas, Junior Dragster, points for the DMV Dragster Championship and in the first two classes for points for the DRU Challenges are raced. Unfortunately the juniors didn't have a good weekend.
The timekeeping refused to measure the eighth mile, which is of absolute relevance for the juniors. It decides who won. Therefore, in the qualification mode, the participants only drove on reaction time, without eliminations. Eleanor Petzold and Lucas Potthoff held up the German flag.
Unfortunately, the Super Comp class had no entries and was cancelled. In Super Gas, index 9.90 seconds, four participants came to the traffic light. Marianne Wisotzke from the GHR team won without a fight. After qualifying, Silvie Lavande and Laurent Ortega were unable to fight in their Turbo Beetles. Armin Widmann in the snow-white Camaro had to get the coals out of the fire. It was only in the semifinals that he lost to eventual winner Jean Luc Arnaud. Armin Widmann also made it to the semifinals in Rivanazzano. There are already a few points on the account of the various championships.
